![]() In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. I also find it offensive when your nurses and techs (not the Dr) advise me to not get a COVID vaccine, unsolicited. I really, very displeased with my care from UH this year. As I was taking my firm up, I noticed the wrong breast circled, so I spoke up and said this is wrong. I had to do a follow up mammogram, and then schedule another follow up. I also have had substantard care in terms of breast health screening in the last 6 months at UH. ![]() She looked up and saw me then went back to looking at her phone while I stood there for several seconds. In the way out, I needed something from the front desk, and the lady was listening to a song in her phone, looking at it. Terrible bedside manner, I had to ask what my vitals were. The nurse who took me back was no better. I walk in for my appointment and the office staff has masks off (really?), then put them in with their nose exposed. Her staff, however, is less than standard. I like my provider, she is my only UH Dr and I've had her since 2005.
